1. Who we are
ClipFinish is published by SOWEBI, a French EURL with share capital of €3,000, registered office at 16 rue Cuvier, 69006 Lyon, France, registered with the Lyon trade register under number 891 330 797. Contact: contact@clipfinish.video.
These terms govern access to and use of the service. Creating an account means accepting them. Together with the privacy policy, they form the entire agreement.
2. What the service does
ClipFinish turns existing videos into vertical clips ready to publish, captioned and framed using the layout you pick.
It is not a video editor. Part of what you are offered is generated by artificial intelligence: these are suggestions, editable before production, and their accuracy is not guaranteed.
The usage limits in force are shown in the service and may change.
3. Your account
Creating an account requires a valid e-mail address. You warrant that the information you provide is accurate and you keep your credentials confidential: any action taken from your account is deemed to be yours.
An account is personal and must not be shared. The service is reserved for adults: subscribing requires the legal capacity to enter into a contract, which under French law is acquired at eighteen.
4. Plans, minutes and prices
What is sold is a monthly allowance of source video minutes, not a number of clips. The plans, allowances and prices in force are those shown in the service when you subscribe. Prices are in euros, all taxes included.
Minutes are deducted when a production starts, in proportion to the length of video processed. A production that fails for a reason attributable to us is credited back. Your balance and its history are visible in the service.
The allowance is reset on the anniversary of your subscription, or of your account creation on the free plan. It does not accumulate: minutes left unused at the end of a period are lost, with no carry-over and no refund.
A valid referral code takes 10% off the first month of a subscription, once per account, and cannot be combined with another discount. It gives no right beyond that month and is not applied retroactively to a subscription already running.
5. Payment
Payment is by card, charged monthly on the anniversary of your subscription. It is handled by Stripe: card details go straight to them and never pass through our servers. Invoices are issued by Stripe on behalf of SOWEBI and can be consulted from your account settings, in the billing area.
If a charge fails, access to paid features may be suspended after notice and a seven-day delay; the account then returns to the free plan, which may bring forward the deletion of files still in retention. Between businesses, late payment automatically triggers interest at the enhanced statutory rate and the €40 fixed recovery indemnity under article L441-10 of the French commercial code.
6. Term, cancellation and waiver of withdrawal
The contract runs for one month and renews automatically, with no minimum commitment. You can cancel at any time, without reason or charge, from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period: your access and minutes run until the term already paid for, then the account returns to the free plan. No pro-rata refund is due.
The service is performed as soon as you subscribe: your minute allowance is available immediately and can be used straight away. Before any payment, a checkbox — never pre-ticked — collects your acceptance of these terms and your express request for that immediate performance; the date, the accepted version and the language you read it in are recorded. You thereby waive your fourteen-day right of withdrawal, under article L221-28 of the French consumer code: there is therefore no withdrawal period, and amounts paid are not refundable.
We may terminate for breach of section 8, after a formal notice left unanswered for fifteen days, or immediately where manifestly illegal content is uploaded.
7. File retention
Uploaded videos and rendered clips are deleted automatically once the retention period attached to the plan in force on the day of upload expires. That period is shown to you when you upload.
ClipFinish is not an archive: it is up to you to download your clips before that deadline. After it, files are permanently deleted and can be neither restored nor rebuilt.
8. Your content
Your videos remain yours. You grant us, for the applicable retention period only, a licence limited to what is strictly necessary to run the service. Your content is never used to train a model, nor exploited for any other purpose. The clips produced belong to you and can be used without restriction, including commercially.
You warrant that you hold the rights needed for what you upload, in particular:
- copyright and neighbouring rights in the images, sound and music;
- permission from the people whose image or voice appears;
- no infringement of privacy, trade secrets or trademarks.
Uploading illegal content is prohibited, in particular child sexual abuse material, apology for terrorism, incitement to hatred, infringing content, content harming a person's dignity, or misleading depictions of a real person. Circumventing the limits of the service or disrupting its operation is likewise prohibited.
You alone are responsible for what you do with the clips produced, in particular for publishing them.
9. Our property
The service, its interface and its content remain the exclusive property of SOWEBI. You hold a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it for the duration of your subscription.
10. Availability, warranties and liability
We use reasonable means to keep the service available; no availability rate is contractually guaranteed. Operation also depends on your connection and on the quality of the files you upload.
Consumers benefit from the statutory conformity warranty for digital services under articles L224-25-12 et seq. of the French consumer code, and from the warranty against hidden defects under articles 1641 et seq. of the French civil code.
Indirect damages are excluded, in particular loss of revenue, of audience, or of files not downloaded within the retention period. Towards business customers, our liability is capped at the amounts paid over the preceding twelve months. These limitations do not apply in case of gross negligence or wilful misconduct, nor where the law prohibits them: nothing here reduces the rights consumers hold under the law.
11. Personal data
Personal data processing is described in the privacy policy, which forms part of the agreement and sets out the categories of recipients of your data. Any request about your data goes to contact@clipfinish.video.
12. Changes to these terms
These terms and the prices may change. If you have an active subscription, you are notified by e-mail at least thirty days before a change takes effect and may cancel free of charge before that date. Continuing to use the service means accepting it.
13. Complaints and governing law
Complaints go to contact@clipfinish.video; we answer within fifteen working days. Failing agreement, consumers may use a consumer mediator free of charge, after a prior written complaint.
These terms are governed by French law. In a dispute with a consumer, the competent courts are those designated by the French code of civil procedure, and the consumer may in particular bring the case before the court of their own domicile. In a dispute with a business, the courts of Lyon have jurisdiction.
